Today it remains as one of the essential medicines on WHO list of medicine for pain and palliative care Dosage: 1 teaspoon = 5.0ml - 6 -12 months: 2.5ml : 3 - 4 times a day - 1 - 3 years: 5.0ml : 3 times a day - 4 - 6 years: 7.5ml : 3 times a day - 7 - 9 years: 10.0ml : 3 times a day - 10 - 12 years: 15.0ml : 3 times a day doses should be given approximately every 6-8 hours as necessary, (or with a minimum of 4 hours if recommended by the doctor)
