Classic Aperol Spritz Recipe

Classic Aperol Spritz Recipe

Aperol Spritz Recipe

Make this Aperol spritz recipe to cool yourself off on a burning hot day. Aperol Spritz is an Italian cocktail made with Prosecco, an orange slice, and, of course, Aperol. Aperol is an orange aperitif with hints of herbal scents and vanilla notes. Meanwhile, Prosecco is an Italian sparkling wine similar to French Champagne. We promise that this Aperol spritz recipe isn’t overly sweet at all. Instead, it’s refreshing, bubbly, and has a bittersweet flavour.

What to Serve Aperol Spritz with and How to Personalise it

Serve Aperol spritz with Italian or Mediterranean style appetisers such as olives, burrata, and Mediterranean tomato and feta dip. Also, feel free to play around with the Aperol and Prosecco ratio. Aperol has a more bitter note, so if you prefer it less bitter, you can use more Prosecco instead. On the other hand, if you have a lower alcohol tolerance or have something important to do the next day, you’re better off using less booze. You can reduce the alcohol in your Aperol Spritz by using more club soda and less Aperol and Prosecco.
