Ingredients

  • 340g of butter, at room temperature
  • 150g of powdered sugar
  • 3 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 375g of cake flour

  • 1 hand mixer
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 sieve
  • 1 piping bag
  • 1 flower-tipped nozzle
  • 1 baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Directions

  • In a bowl, add butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • With a hand mixer, cream the mixture for 5 minutes until fluffy. Scrape any dough sticking to the side of the bowl with a spatula.
  • Sift the flour in three batches with the sieve and use the spatula to gently fold into the creamed butter mixture.
  • Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a flower-tipped nozzle.
  • Pipe the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate it for 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Preheat the oven to 150°C.
  • Bake the cookies in the oven for 15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and leave to cool for 10 minutes, then serve!
