Ingredients

  • 4 potatoes (medium size), peeled and cut into smaller size
  • 2 tablespoons of butter, melted
  • 4 tablespoons of heavy cream, warm
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh milk
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

  • Add cold water to the pan until the potatoes are covered by 3 to 4 centimetres.
  • Bring the water to boil in high heat. Then, reduce the heat to low and cook the potatoes for 15 to 20 minutes (or check if you can poke through the potatoes with a fork).
  • Drain the water and mash the potatoes with a potato masher in a large bowl while they’re hot.
  • Add two tablespoons of melted butter and four tablespoons of heavy cream to the potatoes and mix them well.
  • Add the fresh milk to the mixture and stir until the mashed potatoes are soft and smooth to your liking.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.

Can’t finish up the mashed potatoes?

You can freeze the mashed potatoes and reheat them in the microwave for a few minutes for your next meal. If you want to have them soft and moist again, add two tablespoons of melted butter, and two tablespoons of fresh milk for 4 servings of the mashed potatoes.
