Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp of cooking oil
  • 60g of dried chilli paste
  • 1 small onion, finely sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 400g of yellow noodles
  • 1 tbsp of oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp of dark sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of ketchup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5 stalks of leafy vegetables (such as Bok Choy)
  • Salt and sugar to taste
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Mee Goreng Recipe

Directions

  • First, heat up your wok over medium heat and add oil. Once hot, reduce the temperature and saute the dried chilli paste until the oil splits.
  • Next, toss in the sliced onions and garlic. Saute until fragrant.
  • Then, add your noodles, oyster sauce, dark sweet soy sauce and ketchup. Stir until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Push the noodles to one side, and add the eggs. Scramble and toss the eggs with the noodles.
  • Add your preferred vegetables, and give everything a good toss. Season with salt and sugar.
  • Once the vegetables wilt, the noodles are ready to go.
  • Plate your mee goreng and serve with a wedge of lime.
