Value for money
But only the sashimi and maki
The food is just not bad. The teriyaki chicken don and tomago is abit better than the food court's Jap food. The Sashimi Salad was slightly disappointing. The veg and sauce did not taste good.
Food is still hot when delivered
The food delivered to me this time was not up to standard. The miso shiru was not even half filled, lesser ingredients and the yakitori meat was tough. Servittes was also not provided.
The partion given was very small therefore very pricey..
Food was still warm
First time trying FP and the delivery was fast and the food was warm. Just that the garlic fried rice was quite salty.
Ordered bento set but the sauce for the pork spit all over the plastic and the watermelon.
The food was bland and small portion. Abit too expensive to spend 15.80 on each bento
Taste Great, Very Small Portion
Order two bento sets, one salad, one sushi and one grill squid appx 69sgd but portion really small, compared to other jap restaurants it's size is considered expensive .
Kinsa sushi bento combo b
The food is tasty! I like the beef, mushrooms & chicken...
The sushi came fresh. It still taste nice after a few hours. Packaging was normal. Will be great if soy sauce is individually packed. The current packaging is too messy.
The bento portion was too small. Hardly enough as a proper meal.
Food is good but expensive service & del
The 10% service charge plus 7% GST made it quite expensive. Prtice quoted should include these 2 charges so we are not mislead that price is reasonable during ordering.
The food came late and was already cold
Food is okay but delivery was a hour late.
Great food n reasonable pricing
The food is not up to our expectation.
If the packaging can be improved
Also more meat for the order of menu under Don will even be value added.
Quality of food was not up to expectations. Packaging and delivery was good and prompt.
Food is super salty
I didnt know I dont really like raw food but its sashimi so its my fault
Loved the fact that the food was still warm when it arrived. The deliver came 35 minutes faster than expected which is a huge plus!
Thank you. (:
Food came hot n pretty on time

Email received in 1 min,
Website delivery time: 75min
Food reached at 15:20pm
Website & sms delivery timings are stated differently. but otherwise, food is good.
We ordered delivery for lunch on 17June2014. Our food when delivered was all in a mess. The soya sauce was overspilling, sauce from the bento was outside the bento and all the sushi was smashed together on one side.
I think the delivery personnel needs to be more aware of the food he is delivering, especially the sushi platter and the bentos. Receiving the food all smashed together or without sauce definitely affected our appetite.
Please review your delivery procedures and personnel.
Nice food and service. Only the soup is too cold. I'll order again for sure.
Affordable lunch sets
Went here today with my parents for lunch. Ordered Grilled Chicken with Teriyaki set which comes with Miso soup and Chawamushi. The chawanmushi was tasty although the filling could be more generous. It just had a prawn, a slice of meat and a slice of mushroom. However, the miso soup was different. Though it doesn't taste much of the original taste, the appearance of other ingredients like seaweed and mushroom made up for it.
The grilled chicken with teriyaki set came with salad, chicken, rice and watermelon, something you will like if you like a balanced set of food to eat. The rice came with seasoning of seaweed, sesame seed and if I am not wrong, cuttlefish powder which makes eating the rice extra nice. The chicken with the teriyaki sauce tastes nice and made me attack them faster than the rice.
Service wise, wouldn't say it's good but alright. Pressed the bell once for order taking but no one came at all. Upon looking at the cashier area, 3 staff were at the counter and talking until 1 saw me looking and came over. When it was time to pay the bill, pressed the bell twice before the same person looked over before coming over with the bell. Which leads to my question of why have the bell if it's not going to make anything simpler?
Overall, a nice place to have your meal given that jubilee isn't a busy place to begin with.
Jap lunch special
My friends came here before and recommended their lunch sets as they are nice and value-for-money! The 3rd set is complimentary with every order of 2 sets, which comes to about $10++ for each lunch set! For starters, we ordered the Ebi Tempura sushi which was not bad! Each lunch set comes with a bowl of miso soup and chawanmushi. I was surprised that the chawanmushi here is better than average as the amount and quality of ingredients are good! The miso soup is tasty as well. I chose the Bara Chirashi set as I love sashimi and it consisted of various kinds of sashimi on a bed of rice, very yummy! There is also a side serving of mixed salad, tuna salad and watermelon. The food here is definitely worth going back more than once and a few times!
Even though we ordered right on the cutoff time, Foodpanda staff helped get the order accepted. We ordered the Sushi Platter B, and spider crab rolls. The food was delicious and I would definitely order from them again.
First to come, my Japanese steamed egg topped up with shark's fin. I love the blended taste!!Pork cutlet bento set $12.90, sauce with the chicken cutlet was nicely blended together.Grilled Pacific with soury with salt bento fish bento set $12.90, this fish was fried nicely however i think the organs in the fish was not removed and overall the fish have bitter taste.Grilled Salmon with teriyaki sauce bento set $12.90, this will the best for the day because i am a lover of salmon and this was really tasty!
I will definitely come back here because of the amount they have and they have many yummy food to look forward to.
Authentic affordable japanese cuisine
I was delighted to chance upon this authentic Japanese restaurant in jubilee when I went popular bookstore one afternoon. Being curious ,we went in during tea time and ordered some sushis ,handrolls to try out.The tamago was very juicy, not too sweet and the fish roe sushi really delighted my taste buds as the roes burst in my mouth.Price was affordable and service was quick and and the friendly waitresses were dressed in kimonos. There was even a plate of complimentry salmon sashimi and it was very fresh and yummy.
Located in Jubilee Square, the small Japanese attracts quite a lot of crowd, with a queue forming on weekday night. The restaurant is decorated in a stylish and modern look. The menu has quite a wide range of items and mostly quite reasonably priced.Kawa Ebi Karaage ($4.80++)
It is actually deep fried river shrimp. The mini shrimps taste quite crispy and additive. Best served with beer.Cheese Isobe Age ($5.80++)
The deep fried cheese with seaweed is coated in tempura batter. Quite crispy and tastes more of the seaweed taste than cheese.Foie Gras Mizore Mushi ($6.80++)
The foie gras soup has mushroom and 2 pieces of foie gras in it, served in a cute little cup. Very flavourful, with a hint of white carrot.Umi No Kou Ro-Ru ($13++)
The fried seafood sushi roll is quite colourful presented. The sushi roll is stuffed with cooked salmon, topped with seared fish slice, ebi roe and mentai sauce. It is quite a combination in the mouth, with crunchy and soft texture.Fugu Karaage ($8.80++)
The puffer fish is breaded and deep dried here. Quite small in size, and tastes quite crispy and bony.Chirashi Sushi Setto ($20.80++)
It is served with salad, appetizer, steamed egg, miso soup, rice and fruit. The sashimi served on the sushi rice taste quite fresh and smooth in the mouth. The salad served in soyu dressing, tastes light and refreshing. The steamed egg tastes average and has chicken cubes, shrimp and mushroom in it. Mom likes the miso soup as it tastes quite light.Makunouchi Bento B ($21.80++)
The bento has grilled mackerel with salt and assorted tempura, served with appetizer, steamed egg, miso soup, rice, and fruit. The grilled fish is quite juicy and fresh.
Overall the food is not bad. But has quite a bit of problems getting the attention of the staff as the place is quite crowded.
Kinsa Sushi – Good Japanese food in the Heartland
I heard about this place from a friend in F&B business telling us how good was his Omasake dining experience in a Japanese restaurant. When he told us, it was in Jubilee, Ang Mo Kio, it was to my disbelief. So when the opportunity arises, I decided to give this place a try.
Located on the 2nd floor of Jubilee Square, we thought the place will be packed on a Friday night, to our surprise, it was the opposite. It seems the closure of the cinema on the upper floor, depleted the human traffic going to the building except to the Popular book store. We arrived at the restaurant on time for our reservations and was seated immediately. This time around we (group of 4) decided to order from the menu instead of Omasake.
Appetizer of Grilled Stingray Fin ($8.8), Tatami Iwashi (Tatami Style Slices of White Bait) and Ika Mentaiko Ae (Squid with spicy cod roe – $4.80). The squid is fresh and combined nicely with the spicy cod roe. The white bait is crispy and appetizing, can be considered as white bait crackers. While the grill stingray fin has a slightly chewy texture which was nice to bite on but not fishy. Similar taste to dried sotong, but without the fishy smell. It is actually a good dish to have when you are drinking sake or beer. Our sashimi adventure begin with half of Aji (House mackerel), 3 kinds of sashimi (salmon, swordfish and sweet prawns – $15.80), and Sake to Shiromi no Karupatcho (Salmon and white Fish carpaccio – 13.80). This is our first experience with Aji. As it come from a smaller fish, the cuts are smaller and it has a clean, firm and resilient texture. Unlike swordfish, where it is more firm and taste buttery. The salmon sashimi and swordfish cuts are thick and generous. The carpaccio combines the soft texture of the sashimi, with the crispiness of the vegetables and well balance sauce. Yummy.Moving to the maki, we had Sanshoku Dragon Roll (Fried King Prawn Rolled topped with Avocado, Mango and flying fish roe - $12.80) and Soft Shell Crab Roll (fried soft shell crab roll topped with flying fish roe – $7.80). The prawns and soft shell crab are well fried. However it was let down with the sushi rice which was slightly loose, a little under cooked and not well season with the rice vinegar. From the debacle of the maki, we proceed to the perfectly executed tepanyaki dishes. Kinoko Sarada (Assorted Mushroom salad – $5.80), Wakadori Teriyaki (Grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce), Gyu Tataki (Thinly sliced surfaced grilled beef – $12.80), Saba Shio Yaki (Grilled mackerel with salt) and Ebi Mentai Mayo Yaki (Grilled Prawn with cod roe mayonnaise). The mushroom salad are crunchy and refreshing. The chicken teriyaki has a slight crispiness texture on the outside, with well marinated, juicy, tender and succulent. The beef tataki is done medium rare, where you can see the pinkish side of the beef in the centre. Combine well with the tangy dipping sauce. The saba fish has firm but juicy meat on it. While the grilled prawn is immaculate with a well balance cod roe mayonnaise. It was flawless. To end the meal we had zaru soba and su udon (plain udon). The texture of both are al dente.
The service here is very attentive and caring. However, the food come out from the kitchen is in an irregular order. Such as maki – grill – sashimi – appetizer – grill, so it kind of become slightly confusing for the palate. For the décor, it is very Zen like, but more towards modern Japanese restaurant. Can't really comment much on the inside, as we are seated on the facing the escalator and can't see the activity in the sushi counter.
Overall, it is not very common you can find a good quality Japanese food in the heartland other than the bigger Japanese Restaurant operator. The best part of the restaurant is that they have different range of pricing in their menu to accommodate different range of customers. We hope they continue to thrive and we should be back for more. Cheers!!

My 2nd visit
After my last satisfying visit to this restaurant, decided to have my dinner here again for the 2nd time and it never fails to disappoint me. Ordered the deep fried river shrimps, cha soba, sashimi and California hand roll as per my last visit. Still as good as before. I had also ordered some new dishes to try out Crispy outer layer with melted cheese inside. Cheese lovers, this is a must-try dish! The salmon was grilled nicely with a huge amount of mentai.
This is a new japanese restaurant at the 2nd floor of Jubilee.
The decoration is quite nice.
It is Japansese style. This is Shrimp soba.
The noodle is cold one, because is soba.
There are soy sauce to mix with the noodle.
I really dont like this kind of cold noodle.
Im really not use to it,so i dont like it no wonder it is how delicious. This beef udon is not bad.
But i only can drink the soup only,as i cannot eat beef.
The soup got a bit of beef taste, not very dense, the udon is really nice.soft and wont stick to our teeth
Had my dinner at this Japanese restaurant. The interior was nice and i am surprised to see some of the waitress wearing authentic Japanese kimono! Mixed Sashimi - I am impressed by the presentation of the dish. Freshly cut sashimi and it was served with ice to ensure its freshness. Deep Fried River Shrimps California Hand Roll Shark Fin Chawamushi Tempura Udon
Overall, i am very satisfied with the ambience and most importantly the food!
A must try JAPANESE RESTAURANT
Hey people, i am new here but today i am going to talk about a very newly renovated shopping center. It is the Jubilee square. There is this Japanese restaurant located in the shopping center which i think that everyone should go and try it. Their food is worth the money. This is the grilled salmon with teriyaki sauce bento which cost only $12.80. The salmon is full of meat and i feel so hungry even when i am saying now. This is the pork cutlet bento which cost $12.80. The chicken is very crispy and you still can feel the meat in there. This is the grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce bento which cost only $10.80 and the sauce was evenly mix with the chicken and the sauce is indeed yummy. This is the steamed egg which is included in the bento. You should be wondering those steam egg we eat doesn't have anything inside but there is prawn and chicken which added more mark to the bento set. This is the salad.
