About Boon Tong Kee

Mr Thian Boon Hua opened a small stall in Chinatown serving Cantonese chicken rice in 1979. With the popularity of his silky white sauce chicken rice and focus on quality service, he established Boon Tong Kee's first restaurant at Balestier Road in 1983, with the help of his family members.

The restaurant quickly gained recognition and received rave reviews and accolades from industry experts and customers within its second year of operation. This success led to the opening of outlets at MacPherson Road, Whampoa West, River Valley Road, Cheong Chin Nam Road, and East Coast Road in quick succession.

In 1999, the company diversified its operations to include "Zi Char" (home-style cooked food) and eateries. From the traditional Balestier Road outlet to the upscale River Valley branch, Boon Tong Kee has delighted locals and tourists alike with its delicious food and welcoming staff.
